Requirements for the PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty Course:
For this course students must be a minimum 10 years of age and have completed the Open Water Diver certification.
The Structure of the PADI Underwater Navigation Specialty Course:
The PADI Underwater Navigation Specialty Course offers a comprehensive learning experience aimed at improving divers’ underwater orientation and navigation skills. Typically done over the course of 2 days, students will receive both theoretical knowledge and practical training. First, students will receive the PADI Underwater Navigation manual. The course will begin with an introduction to underwater navigation concepts and basic techniques, students progress to more advanced navigation methods and dive planning considerations. Practical training takes place during 4 ocean scuba dives, where participants implement learned skills under the guidance of our experienced instructors. Finally after the theoretical classes and practical training, students will write a written exam on everything they have learned. Upon completion, Students will receive an email from PADI with their PADI Underwater Navigation Specialty certification. What is Included in the Underwater Navigation Specialty Course:
The Underwater Navigation Specialty Course includes the Underwater Navigation Diver manual, a class on theory with one of our highly trained instructors, 4 ocean scuba dives, rental gear, dive computer, underwater compass, PADI registration and PADI certification. We also offer free Nitrox, if you do not have your Enriched Air (Nitrox) certification we offer the course if you are interested in diving with Nitrox.
