PADI Bubblemaker for Kids in Playa del Carmen

PADI Bubblemaker is a simple first step for children age 8+ who want to discover what it feels like to breathe underwater. The entire experience stays in shallow pool water under direct instructor supervision.

Real Scuba Gear in a Controlled Environment

Your child is fitted with age-appropriate equipment, learns the basic rules for breathing and moving underwater and then gets time to swim, play and become comfortable with the equipment at their own pace.

A Low-Pressure First Experience

There is no need to rush toward ocean diving. Bubblemaker is designed to build curiosity and water confidence while letting parents see how their child responds to scuba in a controlled setting.

What Comes After Bubblemaker

If your child wants more underwater missions, PADI Seal Team is the natural pool-based progression. At age 10, Junior Open Water becomes the route to a full entry-level scuba certification when the child is ready for the training commitment.

Questions before you book?

What is the minimum age for PADI Bubblemaker?

The minimum age is 8. The child should be comfortable in the water and must have the required parent or guardian authorization and participation/medical paperwork.

Does Bubblemaker certify my child to scuba dive in the ocean?

No. Bubblemaker is a supervised shallow-water scuba experience, not an open-water certification. It is designed to make a child’s first breaths underwater fun, controlled and age appropriate.

What is the next step after Bubblemaker?

Children who enjoy Bubblemaker can continue with PADI Seal Team for more pool AquaMissions. From age 10, a child who is ready for a full certification can consider the PADI Junior Open Water course.

Will Xico run my course if I am the only student?

Yes. Xico can run its courses with one booked student, so you do not have to wait for us to fill a group. Your requested start date still needs instructor and operational confirmation.

What paperwork is required for students under 18?

A parent or legal guardian must complete the required participation and medical paperwork for a minor. Age-specific PADI limits and supervision rules continue to apply after certification where relevant.

Can I choose my course start date?

Send us your preferred start date. Xico will check the appropriate instructor, training schedule and any required training logistics before confirming the course. Start dates are flexible, but a website request is not an instant booking confirmation.
