Description of the Bubblemaker Program:
The PADI Bubblemaker is the perfect way to introduce kids to scuba diving in a safe, fun, and controlled environment. Designed for young adventurers aged 8 and up, the program takes place in a pool under the supervision of a trained PADI Instructor. Your child will get to wear full dive gear, learn basic skills, and even swim around blowing bubbles like a real diver!
Courses are available every day!
What to Expect:
- Briefing & Gear Fitting – We start with a fun and simple explanation of how scuba gear works and basic underwater rules. Kids are then fitted with child-sized dive equipment and shown how to use it.
- Shallow Water Dive Adventure – In our pool kids will take their first breaths underwater! They’ll practice using the gear, swim around, play games, and explore the underwater world always with an instructor by their side.
- Surface Debrief & Certificate – After the experience, each child receives a Bubblemaker Certificate and a chance to talk about their dive with the instructor. It’s a memory they’ll never forget.
Price of the Bubblemaker Program:
The price of the PADI Bubblemaker Program 2000 MXN (≈$114 USD) per child, including all dive gear, pool session, certificate, and all taxes/fees. No hidden costs!

What to Bring?

Where to meet?
We meet at Xico Dive Center, located on Flamingos Street between 40th Street North and 42nd Street North, in the Zazil-Ha neighborhood of Playa del Carmen.
Is certification required?
Nope! This is a non-certification experience, just pure fun under professional supervision. No previous experience is needed.
What are the benefits of taking this course?
Bubblemaker is a great way to build water confidence, learn about scuba diving, and have fun in a safe environment. It’s the first step for future divers!
What is the minimum age?
The minimum age for our Bubblemaker program is 8 years old.
What will my child learn during the program?
Your child will learn how to breathe underwater, understand basic safety rules, practice swimming with scuba gear, get used to the mask, regulator, and fins, and experience the excitement of being underwater!
What is the Cancellation Policy?
If the reservation is canceled or modified up to 24 hours before the activity date, no cancellation fee will be charged. If the reservation is canceled or modified less than 24 hours before the activity, or in the event of a no show, 100% of the prepaid deposit will be charged.
No cancellation fee will apply if the activity is canceled by Xico Dive Center due to weather conditions, port closure, or operational reasons, and cannot be rescheduled.
In the case of cancellations due to medical reasons, no cancellation fee will apply only if a valid medical certificate is provided within 24 hours of the scheduled tour time.
For courses that include PADI or other eLearning materials, the deposit is non refundable once the eLearning has been activated or issued. This is because the training materials remain valid and can still be used by the student, whether they continue the course with us at a later date or complete it with another dive center.
If a course or activity must be postponed, we will always do our best to reschedule it according to availability.
