Description of the Nitrox Specialty Course:
The PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Specialty Course is perfect for certified divers who want to get more out of every dive. By using enriched air with a higher oxygen content and less nitrogen, you can enjoy longer bottom times, shorter surface intervals, and feel less tired after diving. This is a one-day, non-diving course that focuses on theory and practical skills. You’ll learn how to plan dives with Nitrox, analyze tanks, and set your dive computer correctly.

What to Expect:
- Theory Session – Spend a few hours at our dive center learning about the benefits, risks, and procedures of diving with Nitrox. You’ll practice analyzing tanks, learn how to set your dive computer, and plan dives using enriched air.
- Optional Dives (Add-on Available) – While not required for certification, you can upgrade your course with 2 ocean dives on Nitrox to apply what you’ve learned and enjoy the benefits in action.
- Final Exam – At the end of the course, you’ll take a short multiple-choice test to check how well you understand Nitrox, how to stay safe, and how to plan your dives.
Price of the Nitrox Specialty Course in Playa del Carmen:
The price of the PADI Nitrox Specialty Course 3000 MXN (≈$162 USD) per person, including theory session, materials, practical training, final exam, and PADI certification. No hidden costs!
Optional Add-On: 2 Nitrox Dives for 1800 MXN (≈$97 USD)

What is the Cancellation Policy?
If the reservation is canceled or modified up to 24 hours before the activity date, no cancellation fee will be charged. If the reservation is canceled or modified less than 24 hours before the activity, or in the event of a no show, 100% of the prepaid deposit will be charged.
No cancellation fee will apply if the activity is canceled by Xico Dive Center due to weather conditions, port closure, or operational reasons, and cannot be rescheduled.
In the case of cancellations due to medical reasons, no cancellation fee will apply only if a valid medical certificate is provided within 24 hours of the scheduled tour time.
For courses that include PADI or other eLearning materials, the deposit is non refundable once the eLearning has been activated or issued. This is because the training materials remain valid and can still be used by the student, whether they continue the course with us at a later date or complete it with another dive center.
If a course or activity must be postponed, we will always do our best to reschedule it according to availability.
