Description of the Discover Scuba Diving for Kids:
Experience the fun of scuba diving in just half a day! This is a great introduction for beginners and perfect for kids or families, especially if they’re short on time or just want to try diving. Please note it’s not a certification course. The day starts with a quick dive theory session followed by practicing basic skills in our pool. Then your child will enjoy two fun dives at a maximum depth of 12m or 40ft. The activity runs from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, giving them a relaxed and exciting dive experience.

What to Expect:
- 09:30 am: Meet at Xico Dive Center for a friendly introduction and registration.
- Theory Class– Learn the basics of scuba diving, including safety rules and essential skills.
- Pool Session – Get comfortable in the water by practicing fundamental scuba skills in a controlled pool environment.
- Boat Ride to Dive Sites – Head out on the boat for a short ride to the local reefs.
- First Dive – Take your first dive into the colorful underwater world and explore the amazing marine life.
- Surface Interval – Relax on the boat with water and cookies.
- Second Dive – Dive into another beautiful reef, discovering more marine life.
- Return to Dive Center – Head back to Playa del Carmen, returning around 3:30 pm
What is the Price of Discover Scuba Diving for Kids?
The price is 2750 MXN (≈$149 USD) MXN per person for the Discover Scuba Diving for Kids experience. Together with a certified instructor, your child will go through dive theory, practice a few skills in confined water, and then enjoy a full ocean dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters.

What is the Cancellation Policy?
If the reservation is canceled or modified up to 24 hours before the activity date, no cancellation fee will be charged. If the reservation is canceled or modified less than 24 hours before the activity, or in the event of a no show, 100% of the prepaid deposit will be charged.
No cancellation fee will apply if the activity is canceled by Xico Dive Center due to weather conditions, port closure, or operational reasons, and cannot be rescheduled.
In the case of cancellations due to medical reasons, no cancellation fee will apply only if a valid medical certificate is provided within 24 hours of the scheduled tour time.
For courses that include PADI or other eLearning materials, the deposit is non refundable once the eLearning has been activated or issued. This is because the training materials remain valid and can still be used by the student, whether they continue the course with us at a later date or complete it with another dive center.
If a course or activity must be postponed, we will always do our best to reschedule it according to availability.
