What certification do I need for PADI Search and Recovery?

If Xico reactivates Search and Recovery, the preserved Xico format requires Advanced Open Water or equivalent plus suitable buoyancy, navigation ability and required medical screening. Final prerequisites will be reconfirmed before the specialty is offered again.

What will I learn in Search and Recovery?

You learn to plan a search, select and execute search patterns, use compass/navigation skills, tie useful knots, work with a buddy and use lift bags to recover appropriate objects safely.

How many dives are in the Search and Recovery course?
