Description of the EFR Course:
The PADI Emergency First Response (EFR) Course is for both divers and non-divers who want to be prepared for emergencies. You’ll learn essential lifesaving skills for dive-related incidents or everyday situations in a safe, supportive environment. This course meets CPR and First Aid requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver Course and is recognized worldwide. The EFR course is non-diving and includes both theory and practical practice.

What to Expect:
- Theory + Practical Session – Join us at the dive center for a hands-on day where you’ll learn to manage real-life scenarios with confidence. Practice CPR techniques on mannequins, apply bandages, learn to handle shock, and more.
- Final Assessment – You’ll take your skills underwater to film real marine life, practice smooth camera movement, manage your buoyancy while filming, and plan basic shot sequences with your instructor.
- Debrief & Certification – At the end of the course, you’ll complete a short multiple-choice assessment and scenario-based evaluations to ensure you’re ready to respond effectively.

The price of the PADI EFR Course is 3000 MXN (≈$162 USD) per person, including all course materials, practice sessions, final assessment, and certification. No hidden fees!

What is the Cancellation Policy?
If the reservation is canceled or modified up to 24 hours before the activity date, no cancellation fee will be charged. If the reservation is canceled or modified less than 24 hours before the activity, or in the event of a no show, 100% of the prepaid deposit will be charged.
No cancellation fee will apply if the activity is canceled by Xico Dive Center due to weather conditions, port closure, or operational reasons, and cannot be rescheduled.
In the case of cancellations due to medical reasons, no cancellation fee will apply only if a valid medical certificate is provided within 24 hours of the scheduled tour time.
For courses that include PADI or other eLearning materials, the deposit is non refundable once the eLearning has been activated or issued. This is because the training materials remain valid and can still be used by the student, whether they continue the course with us at a later date or complete it with another dive center.
If a course or activity must be postponed, we will always do our best to reschedule it according to availability.
