Description of the Junior Open Water Course:

The PADI Junior Rescue Diver course teaches young divers how to prevent and manage problems in the water, building their confidence and diving skills. Your child will learn how to respond to dive emergencies, perform rescues, and assist others, all while improving their own awareness and readiness. With guidance from experienced instructors, kids aged 12–14 will participate in rescue exercises in both pool and ocean settings. The skills learned in this course prepare divers for real-life scenarios in a safe and supportive environment.

Courses are available every day!

What to Expect:

  • Day 1: Day 1: Theory & Pool Skills – Your child will start their training with PADI eLearning, followed by in-water rescue skills in our training pool. They’ll learn self-rescue, stress recognition, and how to assist tired or panicked divers.
  • Day 2: Ocean Scenarios – Part 1 – Your child will head out for their first rescue scenario dives. They’ll practice responding to simulated problems such as search patterns, assisting unresponsive divers, and managing a rescue situation.
  • Day 3: Ocean Scenarios – Part 2 & Final Assessments – They’ll put everything together during a final series of rescue scenarios. Upon successful completion, your child will earn their PADI Junior Rescue Diver certification!

Schedule varies depending on the rescue scenarios you practice.
