Requirements for the Digital Underwater Photography Specialty Course:
For this course students must be a minimum 10 years of age and have completed the Open Water Diver certification.
The Structure of the PADI Digital Underwater Photography Specialty Course:
The PADI Digital Underwater Photography Specialty Course offers a comprehensive curriculum aimed at teaching divers the art and techniques of capturing stunning images beneath the surface. Through a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical training, participants learn to navigate the unique challenges of underwater photography. First, students will receive the PADI Digital Underwater Photography manual providing the information needed to participate in this course. Students will begin with an introduction to digital cameras and basic photography principles. Students will learn how to understand camera settings, composition techniques, and post-processing methods. Afterwards students will participate in 2 ocean scuba dives to practice the skills that they have been learning under the guidance of one of our instructors. Throughout the course, students will explore advanced photography techniques such as macro, wide-angle, and ambient light photography, gaining proficiency in capturing captivating underwater images. Upon successful completion of the course and a final photo portfolio, students will earn their certification as PADI Digital Underwater Photography Specialty Divers in an email from PADI. Students will become equipped with the skills and confidence to document their underwater adventures with stunning imagery!
What is Included in the Digital Underwater Photography Specialty Course:
The Digital Underwater Photography Specialty Course includes the Digital Underwater Photography Specialty manual, a class on theory with one of our highly trained instructors, 2 ocean scuba dives, dive computer, GoPro camera and housing, PADI registration and PADI certification. Our price does not include equipment, however we offer brand new rental equipment if needed. We also offer free Nitrox, if you do not have your Enriched Air (Nitrox) certification we offer the course if you are interested in diving with Nitrox.
