This half-day trip takes you to the beautiful freshwater caves of the Riviera Maya. Cenote Taak Bi Lum is a peaceful cenote with clear water and a maximum depth of 7m/23ft. It’s home to small cave fish swimming around the rocks. As you dive, you’ll see beautiful stalagmites and enjoy a scenic dive. Accompanied by Cenote Taak Bi Ha, a beautiful cenote also with a maximum depth of 7m/23ft. It has a slightly multilevel structure, so good buoyancy control is important when diving here. The light shining through the water creates amazing effects, making the dive even more special. With small groups of just 4 divers, this exclusive cenote diving tour is perfect for certified divers looking for a unique underwater adventure special to this area of Mexico.

What to Expect:

  • 8:30 am: Meet at Xico Dive Center – Check in, complete paperwork, and get fitted for equipment.
  • Drive to the Cenotes – Travel in our truck to the first cenote location.
  • First Dive – Start your adventure at Cenote Taak Bi Lum
  • Surface Interval – Enjoy a fresh sandwich and relax in the jungle surroundings.
  • Second Dive – Explore the crystal-clear waters of Cenote Taak Bi Ha
  • Return to Playa del Carmen – Head back to Playa del Carmen, arriving around 3:30 PM.

You must be an Advanced Open Water certified diver or higher. Good buoyancy control is important due to the slightly multilevel structure.

No, rental equipment is available for 500 MXN. However, you are welcome to bring your own gear if you prefer.

What is the water temperature in the cenotes?
The cenotes stay around 24–26°C (75–79°F) year-round, so a 3mm wetsuit is recommended.

Is cenote diving different from ocean diving?
Yes! Cenote diving offers incredible visibility, calm waters, and stunning light effects, but requires good buoyancy control.

Can I dive with a camera in a cenote?
Yes, you can dive with a camera, but please note that there are additional fees in some cenotes.

What is the Cancellation Policy?
If canceled or modified up to 24 hours before the trip date, no fee will be charged. If canceled or modified later, or in the event of a no-show, 100% of the prepaid deposit will be charged. No fee applies if the activity is canceled by Xico Dive Center or cannot be rescheduled due to rough weather conditions.
