The PADI DPV Specialty Course is perfect for certified divers looking to add speed and fun to their underwater adventures! In just one day, you’ll learn how to safely operate an underwater scooter, plan your dives, and handle special considerations when using a DPV. This course is not only exhilarating—it’s also practical, allowing you to explore more dive sites while conserving energy and air.

What to Expect:

  • Theory Session – Start your day with a detailed briefing on how DPVs work, safety protocols, dive planning, and environmental considerations.
  • Ocean Dives (2 dives with DPVs) – You’ll head out on the boat for two exciting dives using underwater scooters. Practice handling, control, navigation, and buddy procedures while enjoying the thrill of gliding through the reefs of Playa del Carmen.

The PADI DPV Specialty Course is 5000 MXN per person, covering all training, ocean training dives, and certification fees. No hidden costs!

Where to Meet?
Our meeting point is at our office located at Flamingos Street, between 40th Street North and 42nd Street North, on the corner next to the dive center, Zazil-Ha neighborhood, Postal code 77720 Playa del Carmen, Q.R.
Is certification required?
Yes, you must be at least Open Water certified to join the DPV Specialty Course.
Do I need to complete any theory or exams?
Yes, there is a bit of independent study to do before the dives. It’s not a full classroom course like the Open Water, but you’ll review theory related to each adventure dive.
What is the Cancellation Policy?
If canceled or modified up to 24 hours before the trip date, no fee will be charged. If canceled or modified later, or in the event of a no-show, 100% of the prepaid deposit will be charged. No fee applies if the activity is canceled by Xico Dive Center or cannot be rescheduled due to rough sea conditions or medical reasons (if a valid certificate is provided within 24 hours after no-show or cancellation). Under no circumstances, if there is a cancellation and e-learning has been activated, you will not be refunded your deposit for the e-learning.
