The Structure of the PADI Drift Diver Specialty Course:
The PADI Drift Diver Specialty Course offers a comprehensive approach to mastering the skills required for safe navigation in drift diving environments. This course is typically done over the course of a day. Students receive theoretical classes alongside practical application, including two ocean scuba dives. Students will start by receiving the PADI Drift Diver manual, providing them with all the knowledge needed to participate in this course. The course begins with an introduction to drift diving, covering its unique characteristics, benefits, and safety considerations. Students will learn drift diving techniques, emergency procedures, and dive planning essentials. Students will go over equipment selection, ensuring divers are equipped for the challenges of drift diving. Practical application of learned skills takes place during two ocean scuba dives, where students implement drift diving techniques under our highly trained instructors guidance. Finally, students will have a written exam reviewing all of the knowledge they have learned throughout the course. Upon successful completion of theoretical classes, practical training, and a written exam, Students will receive an email from PADI with their PADI Drift Diver Specialty certification. Requirements for the PADI Drift Diver Specialty Course:
For this course students must be a minimum 12 years of age and have completed the Open Water Diver certification.

The Drift Diver Specialty course includes the The Drift Diver manual, a class on theory with one of our highly trained instructors, 2 ocean scuba dives, rental gear, dive computer, PADI registration and PADI certification. We also offer free Nitrox, if you do not have your Enriched Air (Nitrox) certification we offer the course if you are interested in diving with Nitrox.
