Description of the Cenote Diving:

This half-day trip takes you to the beautiful freshwater caves of the Riviera Maya. Each cenote is special in its own way. Some have stunning light beams that shine through the water, while others are filled with unique rock formations that have taken thousands of years to form. We have a selection of cenotes to choose from, so you can find the one that best fits your experience and interests. With small groups of just 4 divers, this exclusive cenote diving tour is perfect for certified divers looking for a unique underwater adventure special to this area of Mexico.

What to Expect:

  • 8:30 am: Meet at Xico Dive Center – Check in, complete paperwork, and get fitted for equipment.
  • Drive to the Cenotes – Travel in our truck to the cenote location.
  • First Dive – Explore one of the famous cenote routes.
  • Surface Interval– Enjoy a fresh sandwich and relax in the jungle surroundings.
  • Second Dive – Discover another unique cenote dive.
  • Return to Playa del Carmen– Head back to Playa del Carmen, arriving around 3:30 PM.

What is the Price of Cenote Diving in Playa del Carmen?

Price is 3,500 MXN per person for the Cenote Diving experience. This includes two guided dives, all entrance fees, snacks, and refreshments. Brand new Rental equipment is available for an additional 500 MXN.

2 Dives in Cenote Dos Ojos – Bat Cave & Barbie Line
Dos Ojos consists of two sinkholes that create stunning light effects and beautiful cave formations. This cenote is one of the most famous in the area and the largest, extending up to 300 km in cave line. Here, we enjoy two dives: one in the Bat Cave Line and one in the Barbie Line. Dos Ojos has a maximum depth of 10m/33ft, making it the perfect cenote for those exploring them for the first time.

1 Dive in Cenote El Pit & 1 Dive in Cenote Dos Ojos
The Pit is a breathtaking cenote known for its incredible light beams and dramatic depth. It is one of the deepest cenotes in the area. In this cenote we will reach a maximum depth of 30m/98ft. Here, we enjoy a stunning dive through clear waters and mesmerizing rock formations. Accompanied by the famous cenote Dos Ojos. The largest cenote system featuring stunning light effects and cave formations, with a max depth of 10m/33ft.

1 Dive in Cenote Angelita & 1 Dive in Cenote Car Wash
Angelita is a special dive site known for its underwater river, created by a thick cloud of hydrogen sulfide. In this deep cenote we reach a max depth of 30m/98ft. As we dive, we pass through clear water before reaching the cloud, where fallen trees make it look like a spooky underwater forest. Accompanied by cenote Carwash, a beautiful cenote with clear water and lots of plant life. It has a maximum depth of 15m/49ft. As you dive, you’ll see fish, plants, and even tree roots stretching into the water.

1 Dive in Cenote Zapote & 1 Dive in Cenote Kin Ha
Zapote is a beautiful cenote with clear waters where we dive a maximum depth of 30m/98ft. The stalagmites in the cenote look like bells, which is why it’s also known as “Hell’s Bells.” It’s a unique and memorable dive spot. Accompanied by cenote Kin Ha, a beautiful cenote with clear water also with a maximum depth of 30m/98ft. As you dive, you’ll see stunning rock formations and ancient clam shell fossils.

1 Dive in Cenote Taak Bi Ha & 1 Dive in Cenote Taak Bi Lum
Taak Bi Ha is a beautiful cenote with clear water and a maximum depth of 7m/23ft. It has a slightly multilevel structure, so good buoyancy control is important when diving here. The light shining through the water creates amazing effects, making the dive even more special. Accompanied by Taak Bi Lum, a peaceful cenote also with a maximum depth of 7m/23ft. It’s home to small cave fish swimming around the rocks. As you dive, you’ll see beautiful stalagmites and enjoy a scenic dive.

You must be an Open Water certified diver or higher. Advanced certification is recommended for better buoyancy control.

Do I Need to Bring My Own Equipment?
No, rental equipment is available for 500 MXN. However, you are welcome to bring your own gear if you prefer.

What is the water temperature in the cenotes?
The cenotes stay around 24-26°C (75-79°F) year-round, so a 3mm wetsuit is recommended.

Is cenote diving different from ocean diving?
Yes! Cenote diving offers incredible visibility, calm waters, and stunning light effects, but requires good buoyancy control.

Can I dive with a camera in a cenote?
Yes, you can dive with a camera, but please note that there is an additional fees in some Cenotes.

What is the Cancellation Policy?
If canceled or modified up to 24 hours before the trip date, no fee will be charged. If canceled or modified later, or in the event of a no-show, 100% of the prepaid deposit will be charged. No fee applies if the activity is canceled by Xico Dive Center or cannot be rescheduled due to rough weather conditions.
