PADI Open Water Diver Course

Requirements of the PADI Open Water Diver Course:

To take the Open Water Course you must be a minimum age of 10. Children between the ages 10-14 will receive the Junior Open Water certification.

The Course Structure of the PADI Open Water Diver:

The Open Water Diver course is a 3 day course. To start students will receive an Open Water Diver manual providing the information needed to start the course. Day 1 the course will begin with a class on theory. This is where one of our instructors will explain and teach the skills and knowledge necessary to become an Open Water Diver. This part of the course also includes sessions in the pool where students will practice different scuba diving skills. Day 2 students will go on 2 dives. On these dives students will get the opportunity to test their skills in the ocean. Day 3 students will go on another 2 dives to continue perfecting and practising necessary skills to complete their Open Water course. Finally students will have a written exam testing them on what they have learned through reading the Open Water Diver manual. During the course students will learn skills such as:

Planning and execution of safe dives.
Buoyancy control underwater.
Proper use of diving equipment.
Underwater communication.
Underwater navigation.

Upon completion of the course you will be sent your Open Water Diver PADI card through your email, your passport to the amazing underwater world!

The Open Water Diver course includes the Open Water Diver manual, brand new rental equipment, theory class and pool sessions, 4 ocean dives, dive computer, the PADI online registration and the PADI certification.
