The Requirements for the PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor Course:
Participants must have a PADI Divemaster certification with six months of certified diving experience, have a minimum of 60 logged dives, with 100 dives required for participation in an Instructor Examination (IE). Additionally, candidates must have completed Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the preceding 24 months and provide a medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months. Aswell aspiring instructors are required to obtain certification as an Emergency First Response Instructor, a qualification which can be completed during the instructor training process.
