No. Cavern training remains in the daylight zone with a continuous guideline, no decompression and no restrictions. It is an overhead-environment foundation course and does not grant unrestricted cave-diving privileges.

Minimum age is 18, or 15 with the required parental consent. You need Open Water Diver or equivalent and at least 25 logged dives. If planned training goes deeper than 18 m / 60 ft, Xico also requires proof of suitable deep training/experience.

Cavern training requires redundant lights, line/reel tools and an appropriate configuration. Xico provides course-use torches, guideline/reels/markers, tanks and weights as described; full personal scuba-gear rental is separate if you need it.

You must be at least 18, or 15 with the required parental consent, and hold TDI Cavern Diver or an accepted equivalent, or be completing the TDI Cavern course concurrently. Xico also checks current cave-training readiness, buoyancy, propulsion, gas management, medical screening and equipment configuration before confirming training.

Current TDI standards require a minimum of four single-guideline cave dives with at least 100 minutes of total bottom time at two different sites. Xico schedules the course over three days so there is time for academics, land drills, repetition and evaluation rather than compressing the program to the minimum duration.

You must be at least 18 and hold TDI Intro to Cave Diver, TDI Mine Diver Level 1 or an accepted equivalent. If decompression dives are incorporated into the training, the applicable TDI Decompression Procedures certification must already be held or completed concurrently. Xico confirms certification, experience, medical screening and equipment configuration before the course.

Current TDI standards require eight cave dives with at least 240 minutes of accumulated bottom time at three different sites, with at least one site not used during the student’s cavern or introductory cave training. Xico’s Full Cave course is scheduled over four days, the TDI minimum duration for this level.

The program is Xico’s staged pathway through TDI Cavern Diver, TDI Intro to Cave Diver and TDI Full Cave Diver. Progression is performance based: the instructor must be satisfied that the requirements of each level are met before the student advances to the next level. Successful completion of the full pathway results in the applicable TDI certifications for all three levels.

For a diver entering the TDI cave program without prior Cavern or Intro to Cave certification, current TDI Full Cave standards require 16 cave dives and at least 420 minutes of total cave bottom time, excluding decompression time. TDI requires the consecutive Cavern, Intro and Full Cave sequence to span at least seven days; Xico schedules the complete program over ten days.

Scuba students complete the required diver medical screening. Depending on your answers, physician approval may be required before in-water training. Any external physician or consultation cost is separate unless a course page explicitly says otherwise.
