The Descent Mk2i takes the Mk2 platform and adds Garmin’s underwater SubWave air-integration system. That makes it attractive to divers who want technical-capable dive modes, a full multisport smartwatch and wireless pressure information in one ecosystem.
The core dive software supports single- and multi-gas diving, CCR, Gauge and apnea modes, including oxygen settings from 5–100% and up to 11 decompression or backup gases. The included/paired T1 transmitter communicates underwater using SubWave sonar. Battery endurance is up to about 80 hours in dive mode without a T1 connection and about 32 hours when paired with a T1.
