The Descent G1 Solar is aimed at divers who want a dedicated dive computer and an everyday Garmin outdoor watch in the same compact device. Its high-contrast monochrome display prioritizes battery efficiency and readability, while the sapphire lens and 100 m dive rating make the watch suitable for regular in-water use.
Six dive modes cover Single-Gas, Multi-Gas, CCR, Gauge, Apnea and Apnea Hunt. Multi-Gas mode allows oxygen settings from 5–100%, one bottom gas and up to 11 additional decompression or backup gases. On the surface, Garmin’s GPS and multisport ecosystem adds training, navigation and activity functions well beyond the dive itself.
