Requirements for the Whale Shark Snorkel:
Participants must have basic swimming skills. This activity is not recommended for people with respiratory problems or thalassophobia (fear of vast, deep, and often dark bodies of water)
A Day Snorkelling with Whale Sharks
Our itinerary starts with a hotel pickup between 5:00 am and 7:20 am. We arrive at the Marina Flamingos at 8:00 am for registration and a light breakfast. By 9:30 am, we reach the Whale Shark area where you can snorkel with full gear (mask and fins provided). At 11:30 am, we take a boat ride to Isla Mujeres, enjoying the beach with bottled water, soft drinks, fruit, and sandwiches along the way. By 12:30 pm, you can snorkel again at Isla Mujeres. At 1:10 pm, we have lunch at Playa Norte, Isla Mujeres, featuring delicious ceviche with special dietary requests accommodated if notified in advance. We depart back to Marina Flamingos at 2:00 pm. What is Included in the Whale Shark Snorkel:
The tour runs approximately from 5:00 am to 4:00 pm, with hotel pickup available from Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos, and Cancún, a light breakfast, snacks and drinks on the boat, and a ceviche lunch on the beach (please notify us in advance if you are vegetarian or have allergies). For your convenience, bring a swimsuit, a dry change of clothes, a towel, and sandals, but please NO SUNSCREEN. In the case that there is no Whale Sharks between June 1 – August 31 there is no refund, however participants have the option to reschedule for another day.
