Why Take the PADI Nitrox Course?

Nitrox is useful because it can reduce nitrogen exposure compared with normal air. On many recreational dive profiles, this can give you more no-decompression time and better flexibility for repetitive dives.

It is especially helpful if you plan to do multiple dives in one day, dive several days in a row, or continue diving in places where Nitrox is commonly available.

Nitrox does not make your tank last longer and it does not let you dive deeper. The course teaches you how to use it correctly, including oxygen limits and computer settings.

Do You Need Dives for the Nitrox Certification?

No. The PADI Enriched Air Nitrox course can usually be completed with theory and practical tank analysis. Training dives are not normally mandatory for certification.
